Diana J. Guerrero is a dedicated communications professional and community advocate, currently serving as the Communications & Development Manager at the Highwood Library & Community Center. With 15 years of marketing experience and a deep-rooted passion for community engagement, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the library’s outreach, communications, and grant initiatives. Diana’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Lake Forest College, where she cultivated her skills in strategic communication and public relations. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she actively works to bridge language and accessibility gaps in the Latine community, ensuring that essential resources reach those who need them most.

Her commitment to service extends beyond her professional role. For over eight years, Diana has been an active member of the Highwood community, championing initiatives that uplift underserved families. She previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Highwood Library, advocating for innovative programming and expansion efforts, and is currently involved in the Northwood Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Additionally, she serves on the Stewardship, Events, & Development Committee and the Finance Council of Christ Our Hope Parish, supporting initiatives that strengthen community engagement and sustainability.

In September 2024, Diana was honored as a Wintrust Latinx Community Leader, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the community.

In November 2023, Diana also received a Certificate of Achievement from Coalición Latinos Unidos de Lake County, acknowledging her dedication to volunteerism and community advancement.
